My website has been up and running just for fine for a while. As a result I have slacked in updating the blogs. However, I have not stopped shooting. In fact, I have done some of my most beautiful work. This blog is a compilation of lifestyle, family, and event photo shoots that I’ve done over the last year.
I started taking belly dance classes in Jan 2016. After a year and a half of exploring this dance form I decided to participate in studio performance piece featured in the show "I'd Rather Be Dancing" showcased at Dance 101 Atlanta.
My troupe was an amazing collective of creative, strong, and sexy women. I had such a lovely time bonding with these women and creating this wonderful piece. I took these photos backstage before our show. These photos capture the details and hard work that went into putting our costumes together before each show.
A fun family session around Ponce City Market and Beltline.
I had a wonderful time exploring the Beltline with this gem. We did a fun portrait session to celebrate all of her hard work as she finishes up her Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Congratulations to these two people people on their baby boy due December 2017. I had so much fun photographing their gender reveal and maternity photos at Whittier Park. We had to do some quick maneuvering around with the unpredictable blue smoke but we managed to get the perfect shots!
4 days in Washington by myself, Cape Disappointment to Seattle, Snoqualmie, Snow Lake Trail, and into Portland. Amy joined me in Portland. We went to Cannon Beach/Ecola State Park, Wine Country, Mt.Hood, Multonomah Falls, and downtown Portland.
A beautiful, surprise engagement on the roof top of Whiskey Blue in Buckhead, GA. Thanks to my photog. colleague Darius Soodmand. Check out his beautiful work at www.dariussoodmand.com
I had a great time on this 24 hour whirl wind trip with Matthew and Beth photographing their wedding at Fort Zachary State Park in Key West, Florida.
I absolutely loved doing this engagement session at Barnsley Gardens in North East Georgia. I had never been to this amazing place full of brick ruins, fountains, hedge mazes, gardens, cabins, etc. Its a lovely place to get away for the weekend just like Amanda & Michael did the weekend they got engaged during a candle light dinner in the mansion ruins. They decided to come back to the same place to do the engagement photos, and I am so glad they did! (Please click on their name/title to view the session)
I am so excited for this couple! Bridgette & Ty have spent almost 7 years supporting and loving each other even through extended periods of long distance. Love knows no distance with this couple. This session was so much fun and so very special. I cannot wait for them to get married! (click on "Bridgette & Ty" to see this gorgeous engagement session)
This little cupcake is turning ONE and Mother's Day is also just around the corner. So mom got a photo session of this little cutie as a gift. We celebrated two holidays in one photo session! Some little ones are terrified of the camera, or at least indifferent to it most of the time. However, little Tate loved having her photos taken. She's a little model in the making. We laughed a lot in this photo session. I had the pleasure of photographing three generations of lovely ladies! One daughter was clearly the natural model while the other was the natural comedian/entertainer. Together they made this photoshoot so much fun! Brainer Park in Smyrna, GA was a great location with plenty of flowers and lots of room to do cartwheels. (Click the title "Peet Family" to view the gallery)
It was a pleasure working with this beautiful family! Their daughter was an absolute ham for the camera. I love when kids have fun modeling during the photo session. She had just as many pose ideas as I did! (Click on the title "Stokes Family" to see the gallery of images)
Last week I did a series of natural/lifestyle headshots for a company called Focus. This team was so much fun to photograph. We had a lot of environmental factors to work with between the wind blowing hair everywhere, the sun peaking in and out of the clouds, and security asking us not to photograph building numbers or addresses. After all the hard work these photos turned out beautifully. I always maintain that natural/lifestyle type headshots are so much better than stuffy traditional corporate headshots. The company website will be vibrant and lively with these photos. Thanks to Focus for having me as their photographer! (Click on the title "Focus Company Headshots" to view the gallery)
These two sisters wanted to surprise their family for Christmas with these pictures. We spent the afternoon exploring Ponce City Market and the Beltline in Atlanta. I love the way the various backdrops and colors came together to create these fun photos. (Click on their names to view the gallery)
We did this romantic engagement session at the couple's wedding venue in Tallapoosa, GA. It was quite a drive to the middle of nowhere, but these images were so worth the drive! The field and sunshine were absolutely perfect that evening. Danielle was one of my former college soccer teammates, and I am so honored to have been able to share this special experience with her and Chad! (Click on their names to see the gallery)
I loved photographing this sweet couple and their adorable pups! We trekked through tall grass and fought back swarms of gnats at Kennesaw Mountain, but you can't tell in these photos. These two are absolutely lovely together. They are moving to the West Coast now that Caitlin has finished her Doctorate of Chiropractic, and I am very honored to have had the chance to do headshots and family pictures for them before they leave us here in Georgia.
